The Candle in the Window
Yesterday was a very special day for me. I have been on a spiritual journey over the past year that has led me to a large variety of people and topics. Throughout this journey I have learned much about myself and started to discover who I really am. The question has been if I was willing to accept who I was and embrace everything that comes with it.
Inspired by my soulmate's own journey of self discovery and the recent skillset she embraced and took on, I made the decision that it was time to accept that I am a Pagan Clairvoyant and it is time to start developing my skills.
I have had many meditational journeys, met many spirit guides, spirit animals and spirits. I have seen visions of beautiful places and past lives. Some of these journeys I have shared already and some are blogs waiting to be written and shared.
Going forward I will add those journeys into my blogs first, before anything else, and I will start writing blogs to detail my spiritual experiences immediately as they happen. I think it is important to do this to help develop my skills and to help others who may be on a similar spiritual path.
I have been dealing with severe knee pain recently that has been giving me sleepless nights. Last night when I went to bed, I took a few moments to meditate to help calm myself.
During this brief meditation I had a vision. I saw a window before me. In this window sat a beautiful white candle. There was darkness outside the window, but the beautiful white candle lit up the scene before me.
So what was the universe revealing to me? What did this mean?
A white candle represents protection, healing, connection with your higher self, unity and harmony.
They are one of the most popular candles that are used. They are found in many homes and can be used in many different types of rituals and ceremonies. They can be used for consecration rituals, meditation, divination, exorcism, and many spells that include healing, clairvoyance, truth, peace, spiritual strength, and lunar energy.
Wow. As I think about the details leading up to my vision many things I described as to the meaning of white candles stand out. Healing for my knee (I did sleep better), connection with your higher self and harmony, meditation, divination ( I am studying a new divination practice associated with my ancestors), clairvoyance ( I embraced that I am clairvoyant), truth, peace and spiritual strength.
I think my spirit guides were confirming to me through this vision that my path I am choosing is the right one. They are confirming the divination practice I want to use and also giving my ideas on other things to use in my skill including the burning of the white candle.
The Candle in the Window is going to be an important part of my practice.
I have discovered what it means for me. But what does it mean for everyone else? Just like many of my other visions and spiritual journeys, there is a much deeper meaning.
At first I was letting my earthly programmed mind tell me that there is a moral here about being the light in a dark world. But that is not the case.
We live in a programmed society that has labeled darkness as evil. It has labeled darkness as bad. That is wrong. Darkness is a part of the universe. It is part of the balance. It has its own role to play to counter the light. To bring the Yen to the yang. But, just like anything else in the world, if it's different or scary to the religious organizations that see it, then it's bad and evil.
Without darkness, would we really understand how beautiful the moon is? Without darkness would we be able to let the stars guide us as we journey through the night? Darkness isn't evil. Darkness isn't bad.
My message to you is there is a balance that is needed in the universe. My message to you is that when you encounter something, whether it be a person, an animal, a tradition, a belief, a color, or a segment of the day, that society has deemed as evil doesn't mean that it really is. You have to discover for yourself what is right and what is wrong and not accept the label society has put on it.
The Candle In The Window. It glowed bright and lit up the vision in front of me. Seeing it inspired me to look at what it meant to discover more about myself. But that would have never happened without the darkness allowing it to shine bright.
That is my next takeaway. There are many things and people that help us be successful and survive in this world. Usually it is the ones that shine the brightest in our time of need who get the recognition. It is the ones who work behind the scenes that are usually forgotten about or never seen. The darkness enabled the candle to shine bright. Without it , the candle would have just been another object. Yet, I titled the blog after the candle. I gave praise to the candle as a tool to verify my journey, but mentioned nothing of the darkness at the time. Point taken Michael.
The Candle in the Window. It is inspiring to confirm my journey and it is a revelation to me that there are things in this world that work for the good of the universe that we as a society label as bad.
I hope the next time you light a candle, or walk outside to see the beauty of the full moon, that you thank the darkness for making it possible.
Blessings!
