The Art Of Breathing

The Art Of Breathing

As human beings we take for granted the breaths we take each day. We will all reach that one day when we take our last breath. Breathing in oxygen is life sustaining.

Not only do we take for granted every breath we take, we take for granted what each of those breaths mean. Breathing can be seen as an artwork. Breathing means life. Breathing lets us know when we have had too much and Breathing calms us as we focus in. Breathing done the right way can take us to a higher dimension and a higher consciousness.

According to Websters the word breath means: The faculty of breathing, an act of breathing, or a respite. However the Archaic meaning of breath is: life.

In fact, many Archaic languages including Aramaic, Tibetzn, Latin, Greek, Hawaiin and many others use the same word for breath also to describe life, spirit and soul.

So what did the ancient civilizations know about breathing that we have forgotten over time? For thousands of years people have used consciousness breathwork for many reasons.

Proper breathing techniques will really help enhance your meditation and spiritual journeys. Proper breathwork helps to expand your insight, expand consciousness, release stress and anxiety, and gain vision. All of these will help you connect with higher forces and spirits.

I know from personal experience, all of my spiritual journeys and travels have stemmed from meditations where I focused on proper breathwork at the beginning.

Proper breathwork will help activate the pineal gland opening up your 3rd eye and a higher level of consciousness.

One of the ways I get my breathing settled to control my vibration is the 4-4-4-4 method. Breathe in for 4 seconds, hold the breath for 4 seconds, release the breath for 4 seconds and then hold the breath for 4 seconds. I do this continuously at the beginning of my meditations and it does wonders for releasing my thoughts and opening my mind.

Controlled breathing is an important part of our spiritual awakening. It is an important first step to learn for anyone starting their spiritual journey.

Blessings.
