Living With Chronic Pain

Updated: Nov 8, 2023

The Pain of a Society That Doesn't Care.

I can't take this pain anymore! You may have said that in the last 30 minutes if you suffer from an autoimmune disease and chronic pain. Physical pain is not the only pain caused by these diseases, you also deal with emotional pain, depression, anxiety, and insomnia to just name a few. The pain is so bad that sometimes you don't know if you will get through the next 5 minutes, let alone the entire day.

It is frustrating to fight pain every second of every day. The fight itself wears you down. Knowing that nothing is working is demoralizing and realizing that you can't be the person you once were is extremely terrifying. To not be able to get out of bed, or take care of your family is heartbreaking.

The medical field will treat the symptoms but has done nothing to cure the cause and bring total healing. Sometimes the pain is lessened, but not eliminated, and pain relief does not work for everyone.

I do not have chronic pain. Someone I love does. Someone I live with and care for does. It is heartbreaking to watch your soulmate fight and struggle each day to just survive. You want to help them, do anything you can to take away their pain, but you can't. You want to tell them it will be ok, but you both know it won't.

What can you do? You can love them, care for them, listen to them, support them, understand them, stand with them and stay by their side as you fight along with them.

What needs to be done? Research the cause and treat it, not the symptoms. We need better access to natural remedies including cannabis for relief of all. We need a better understanding and treatment of mental health. What we have now just does not work. Employers should be put in a position and regulated to help their people and allow time off to care for loved ones. We need a society that wants to heal, not divide and tear down.

Please help by showing support and stand up for those who suffer from chronic pain and mental health diseases. It does affect all of us.

There are many people that suffer from chronic pain and they go into each day with no hope. Some feel they have no voice. They need a voice to speak out for them. They need resolution to their pain, not temporary relief. They need quality mental health services that will address their needs, programs set up to help them live in an uncaring world. They need a voice, not a hold and release after 72 hours to cover your business. Families need to be able to have time to care and assist their loved ones without fear of losing their job, their pay, their home, their food and their entire life savings. They need a voice, not a FMLA program that is outdated and helps

businesses and not the individual. They need better access to education and availability of natural remedies and cures. They need legalization of cannabis on the Federal level. They need a voice, not a pharmaceutical driven remedy that keeps you coming back for more to increase profits.

Do you have chronic pain or know someone who does? Will you join me and stand with me? Will you be their voice with me? Blessings!
