How I Met My Spirit Guides: My Journey Experience
On one of my recent blogs about my spiritual travels, I had someone ask me for pointers on how to meet your spirit guides. While I am no expert or someone with vast knowledge on the subject, I figured the best thing I could do was share my experience and what worked for me.
As I said, I am not an expert, I have not had any training or schooling on the subject, this is just my own personal experience. Keep in mind that everyone is different and what works for me may not work for you. So let me start from the beginning.
Recognizing that we were part of a programmed society living in a controlled matrix, my soulmate and I started looking at our lives and changes we needed to make. We wanted to think for ourselves and follow the universe and not man. Having always been drawn to nature and the Earth, we knew we did not fit in or belong. We would start on a journey that has changed our outlook and our lives.
Soon after this awakening I began to research any topic I could find that could help me understand this awakening. I read many articles and made Gaia my home for knowledge. The initial things I learned only made me want to dig deeper and soon I started meditating.
During my initial meditations, I would learn to calm myself, and clear my mind. I also had to deprogram myself of any education or upbringing from this society. I had to be open to what the Universe wanted to show me. Eventually after a couple of weeks, I would start seeing things during my meditations and also feel like I was traveling as I witnessed these events.
Wanting to discover what all of this meant, I started studying meditation techniques, astral travel, past lives, spirit animals and spirit guides. I wanted to learn what the Universe was trying to tell me during my journey to a higher consciousness.
Then I learned about the pineal gland. I learned how controlling it opened your mind to the universe. It could take my meditations practices to the level of consciousness that I wanted them to go. I watched a video by Joe Dispenza on how to activate your pineal gland. I practiced it and I learned how to do it. I was now able to understand what I was seeing and where I was going.
I noticed that once I could control my pineal gland, the vibration levels of my body changed. Different levels of vibration and how they affected your consciousness was my next area of study . The vibration levels of my body also affected my consciousness level. How do I control those vibrations? Once again, I learned that I needed to work on one of my techniques. Breathing.
The way I controlled my breathing during my meditation affected many things. The way I controlled my breathing would affect the level that I was able to calm myself and clear my mind and empty it completely to the universe. Controlling my breathing would calm my body to a state where I was able to influence the vibrations of it. Being able to know when to hold my breath and when to breath in the right rhythm also controlled opening my pineal gland. I thought I was doing ok with this part, but it wasn't until I started studying an ancient practice that this really took off.
Up to now, I was able to meet my spirit guides as they appeared in my meditations. But I wanted to control who I spoke with and where I went. At this point in my journey I discovered Shamanism. I do not know how I initially came across the practice, but once I did, I began watching and reading everything I could on the topic.
Shamanism taught me the 4-4-4-4 breathing technique. Breath in for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds, release for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds, then start over again. This helped me to increase my vibration and connect with more spirits other than my spirit guides.
Shamanism taught me how to travel to different places. I learned to travel to the three worlds. I learned how to travel into a tree and to the underworld where I met my past and found my healing garden. I go to this healing garden as I need to.
The biggest thing that came out of studying Shamanism was this blog, my future book, my website and my Facebook group: The Ancestor's Fire. I looked deeper into indigenous histories, and I started incorporating drumming music to help my meditation vibration. It was at this point that every meditation journey started at a fire. A fire with people from ancient civilizations around it, a fire with my spirit guides and animals around it, and a fire with my ancestors around it.
Once my mind is clear, and my body calm, I can control going straight to the fire. At the fire we will do a ceremony and sing and dance. Sometimes the ancestors will tell stories. Depending on what I want to know or focus my daily meditation on, I would choose what spirit guide or animal I would want to speak with. We would then either sit at the fire and talk or travel to a location and talk. Sometimes the spirit guides and animals would choose me to bring a lesson to my attention.
It has been an amazing journey, with many questions and much researching and application. But it has helped me grow spiritually.
I am not an expert, I am only speaking from what worked for me. This is my journey. Everyone's journey is different. Hopefully something from my journey may be able to help you along the way as others have helped me.
If you take anything away from this blog, take this, Don't Give Up! It is a process. It takes work. But the end is worth it.
Clearing my mind, deprogramming my worldly education, calming myself, learning to activate my pineal gland, using proper breathing techniques, learning to travel through shamanic instruction and just being open and available to what the Universe brought before me, all contributed to my journeys to meet my spirit guides.
This is my story. This is my journey. Now it is time to start your journey. Now it is time to meet your spirit guides.
Blessings!
