Grounding: Reconnecting to Earth's Energy.


What is grounding? Simply put, grounding or "earthing" is connecting yourself to the Earth's natural healing energy. When I finish my hike to the top of the mountain and reach my favorite spot, I love to take off my boots and socks and stand on the mountain barefoot absorbing all the natural energy the rock surface has to offer.


Grounding is known to help reduce inflammation, pain and stress, while helping to improve blood flow, sleep and vitality.


Grounding is a simple, profound lifestyle addition requiring no effort or dieting. It is often an overlooked factor when it comes to health and healing.


Early humans in civilization walked barefoot across the land. The connection between us and the earth has always been there. Once footwear was brought into culture and society, our connection to the Earth and its healing properties for us became limited. The rubber soles of our shoes are not conductive but our bodies are.


The natural rhythmic pulsations of energy flowing through the Earth surfaces keep the biological and global life running in rhythm. Grounding helps us to reconnect to the Earth


This was discovered in 1998 by Clint Ober, who had recently retired from the cable TV industry. His story and the discovery of grounding is featured in a documentary called The Earthing Movie. This is a very good movie and I recommend watching it to anyone who is considering or wanting to know more about grounding.


Inflammation is one of the main health reasons we should ground. It is known to be a leading trigger for many chronic diseases and causes fire within our bodies. Grounding extinguishes these flames through the transfer of negatively charged electrons from the Earth's surface and into the body where they neutralize positively charged destructive ones involved in chronic inflammation.


If you experience anxiety or depression, chronic fatigue, cardiovascular disease, post traumatic stress disorder, or pain then you should practice grounding.


Here are some grounding techniques that will help you reconnect your energy to the Earth: walking barefoot, laying on the ground, going for a swim, gardening, or using a grounding mat or grounding blankets.


Sometimes we try to get too smart for the Universe and create or invent ways to try to help us but in the long run it only makes things worse. Or we simply get told that there is no solution, no help, no cure. The Matrix wants us to believe there is no hope.


But we were created to be one with the Universe, with the Earth and with nature. The answers are lying out there with them. We only have to return to them to find the answers. Grounding is a way to start. It is a way to slow our lives down, to get us away from the struggles and despair of this matrix, and reconnect us to the energy and healing powers of the earth.
